22nd Annual Memorial Mile
The EH Parks & Recreation Dept. and the Board of Education Physical Education Dept. will present the 22nd Annual Memorial Mile on Monday, May 25 at 10:20 AM preceding the Memorial Day parade. The one-mile race will start on Burnside Ave. at the intersection of Scotland Rd. and finish past the entrance to Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Hillside St. Awards will be presented in ten age groups for men and women, 9 and under,10-11, 12-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. T-shirts will be issued to all pre-registrants as of May 8 and while they last on race day. Registrations may be obtained at Parks & Rec. Dept. or by calling 860-528-1458x221. EH elementary and middle school students should see their physical education teacher for an
application. Pre-registration fee is $15.00 by May 8. After May 8 and on race day, the fee is $20.00. Race day registration and check-in will take place at VFW Post #2083 located at the intersection of Tolland and Bidwell Streets from 8:30-9:45 AM. Arrive early to avoid parade route road closures.
