SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Teen and Adult Social Club
This program is for young people 13 and up with Special Needs. The group meets on Friday nights and participates in a variety of social situations. Special Olympic Track & Field
Special Olympics is a sports program for people with intellectual disabilities, ages 8 and up. Practice held Thursdays from 6:30-8PM and Saturdays from 10-11:30AM at EHMS track. There will be a regional qualifying meet in Hartford, CT, in May. The state meet is in June. Dates: Saturdays & Thursdays Fee: $40.00

Donations to Special Olympics
The local program of Special Olympics is approaching businesses and individuals in the Town for financial help. Those who help will be recognized in the Fall 2009 Parks and Recreation Department brochure. The athletes’ families are charged a small fee to participate, but this does not cover all expenses. The expenses of the program include bus transportation to regional and state tournaments, t-shirt and team apparel, and entrance fees for tournaments. All contributions are tax deductible.
