The East Hartford Parks & Recreation Department
boasts of over 640 acres of beautifully maintained townowned land including:
Center Park - (South Prospect Street) passive recreation facilities, limited playground equipment.
Depitro Park - (Silver Lane) This parks was donated to the town in 2005. Currently it is a passive recreation area.
Dwyer Park-(College Drive) with playground facilities, 1 basketball court and 3 soccer fields.
East Hartford Bike Path: Forbes Street and Ridgewood Road. Approximately 4.5miles of paved pathway leading from Forbes Street, in East Hartford to Silver Lane and Wickham Park in Manchester.
Goodwin Park-(Forbes Street) with picnic pavilion, playscape & playground facilities, Gold Star Pool and basketball court.
Gorman Park-(May Road) with playscape facilities , Lord Pool, pavilion picnic area, 2 lighted basketball courts, 1 baseball field, 3 little league fields and 1 soccer field.
Great River Park-(East River Drive) with picnic areas, boat launch facilities, amphitheater, walking and biking trails.
Hockanum Park-(High Street) with playground facilities, Terry Pool -50 meter swimming pool, 2 lighted tennis courts, 1 lighted basketball court, 1 softball field and 1 soccer field.
Hockanum River Linear Park Trail- approximately 3.5 miles of boardwalk and stone dust trail. Extends from Hillside Street to the Meadow Hill Station on Pitkin Street. Parking facilities are located at Hillside St., Martin Park, Elm St. and Town Hall.
Labor Field - (Woodlawn Circle) with playground facilities, 2 basketball courts, pavilion, grills and 3 little league fields.
Martin Park - (Burnside Avenue) Martin swimming pool with wading pool, 2 pavilion picnic areas, 2 lighted basketball courts, 1 baseball stadium, 1 football field.
Martin Park Skate Park - is unsupervised and is open from dawn to dusk. This facility is used by both experienced and inexperienced skateboarders/in-line skaters. Serious injury may result from being hit by a skateboard, falling or colliding. The Town of East Hartford does not assume responsibility for injuries. All patrons must wear a helmet, elbow and knee pads and wrist guards. SKATEBOARDING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
McAuliffe Park - (Remington Road) with Drennan Pool, 2 picnic areas, 3 basketball courts, 2 baseball fields (1 lighted, McKenna Field Stadium), 3 little league fields and 1 lighted softball field.
Town Green - (1021 Main Street) with sitting and strolling areas, basketball court, playscape. Rotary Gazebo, Summer Concert Series.
Willowbrook Park - (Willowbrook Road) with playground facilities, 2 basketball courts and 1 little league softball field.
