PRESS RELEASE
Chief Mark J. Sirois has announced that motor vehicle enforcement efforts in
East Hartford will be on the increase starting today and during the up coming
holiday season. The focus of this effort is to reduce motor vehicle accidents
and make our roadways as safe as possible for the motoring public. Officers
will crack down on motorists not following the rules of the road.
Officers will be looking for aggressive drivers, speeding, stop sign violations,
cars following too close, use of non hands free cell phone while driving, failure
to wear seat belts, driving while intoxicated, tail-gating, unsafe lane changes
and other violations.
Our goal at the East Hartford Police Department is to protect people and
reduce the number of accidents with injuries that take place in East Hartford.
